Just returned from a month in Tasmania. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, of course it wasn't long enough. Plenty left for return trips.
Some highlights were:
Beach Retreat C'van Park at Wynyard - right on
the beachArthur River including cruise, camping in NP (
Manuka campground)
Pieman River and
Corinna
Bushwalks in beautiful rainforests
Day flight to Melaleuca and boating on
Bathurst Harbour to Port Davey
Fabulous cheese, wine, honey and fruit.
Have taken daily notes that may be of practical use to others. Just have to figure out how to post them on a website or such.
Thanks to 'Phil G' from South Australia who left a note on the windscreen at Donaghy's
Lookout carpark after noticing our EO wheel cover (you couldn't miss it!). Hope you enjoyed your trip as much as we did.
Thanks to EO
forum contributors for useful info.

John'n'min,
Was wondering when you'd surface :-) We also came across your vehicle later on our trip, but can't remember where. We took in the north west forests, then out to Marriwah,
Arthur River, and
the beach tracks down to
Sandy Cape, up the Balfour Track, down to the ferry with a slight detour via McGraths track to the Whyte River and the tunnel; then
Zeehan,
Queenstown,
Lake Burbury,
Lake St Clair, Mt Field NP,
Lake Pedder and the
Gordon Dam, thru
Hobart to
Dover and Hastings Caves, then a couple of days on the Tasman Peninsula and
Port Arthur,
Lake Sorell and visited a friend at
Mathinna before hopping back on the ferry. 18 days was good, but 4 weeks would have been better! Glad you enjoyed you trip.
Cheers
Phil

Was the Balfour Track dry?? Went that way this time last year- after a week of rain- it was a bit of a challenge then!!

Yep, Balfour track was pretty dry - there were a few puddles about a foot deep, and firm base. You can see where people have tried driving around and got bogged. National Parks guy said to always drive thru the middle.
