Interesting observation I just noted that ULP has equalled if not exceeded the price of diesel in the last few weeks. This is the first time since we started capturing fuel price information that this has occured.

See the National Fuel prices here Site Link or follw the links to the state reports to see 90, 180 and 365 day fuel price charts for each state.

The four cheapest prices in Adelaide in the past month have been
Shell Mansfield Park,
Caltex Prospect ,
BP Nailsworth
and SAFF Fuels OG Rd Klemzig all of these @ $1.19.

SAFF add an extra .02 a litre if using Credit card on diesel.

Cheapest BP for me has been the BP truckstop next to McDonalds cnr South Rd and torrens Rd. Been $1.19 for a long time.

i used the Caltex Prospect when I had those 10c fuel vouchers, but not sure that the vehicle drove as well as it does with BP.

Hi Guy's
Last year when I moved to Jabiru KNP the diesel was $1.44pl that was in April, Tourist season started and it went to $1.55pl untill Dec.
Filling 3 4WD twice a week equated to $6500pm.
It is currently at $1.38, lets see what happens in May.
Cheers Steve.

I bought Bio-diesel in Sydney (Sth Hurstville) for 115.9 the other day. Unleaded at the same outlet was 127.9.

A win for the Diesel user finally.

Keeping in mind that it was treasurer Keating that raised the price of diesel . Labor and Liberals have very similar policies on fuel .

Main advantage in going gas would be balance of trade , but you could have said that about encouraging people to use diesel instead of petrol . Although the balance of trade is now being helped by increased mineral exports the Treasury will still be pushing to maintain high taxes on fuel . Get used to it .

For years the oil companies struggled to get the price of a litre of fuel up to $1.00 That was always the 'magic mark' that had to be broken to condition and introduce the motoring public to a 'pricing mind set'. We are now well and truly conditioned and are now smiling when the price drops say from $1.25 down to a $1.19 or so. Yep they have us in the palm of their hand and boy, do they know how to squeeeeze!

And if you are talking second small family car, e.g. VW Golf, Peugeot 307, etc. they now require premium petrol which is even more expensive, hence the move to small diesel sedans.

Does this mean that when we watch the news, and they refer to the price of fuel, that it will be diesel that they are referring to.

I doubt it :(

Looking for adventure.
