If its the fridge I think it is, they were eventually bought out by Nexberg P/L who marketed it as the SupaKool after moving all the parts to the side instead of the lid (to many complaints from the women that the lid was to heavy).
The SupaKool was a disaster with regard to the compressors and they failed in their thousands, and eventually Nexberg withdrew them from the market and developed a new style fridge with a Danfross compressor sitting on the side of the fibreglass box and renamed the new version EvaKool, which are now a major player in the portable compressor style fridges.
The company that originally developed the compressor for the SupaKool went broke years ago, so I dont like the chances of getting spares if needed.
When
mine failed for the 3rd time and no spares were available, I took the compressor and everything else off my SupaKool and fibreglassed the holes and turned the box into a cooler box. Works a treat as Nexburg make a fibreglass cooler that is second to none in my opinion.
I could be thinking of the wrong fridge, but you description sounds very much like the earlier version of the SupaKool.
