We have been more than happy with the Lakeview Caravan
Park, we have satyed there 2 or 3 times to wash clothes etc on our to & from Outback trips.
They also have a very
good camp kitchen.

It's a pretty simple equation Shaker. The site does'nt run on fresh air.

You appear to be questioning my intelligence, of course it doesn't run on fresh air!
But when did you become the Exploroz spokesperson?
Also if you don't like "non-members" here ....... GET OVER IT !

We stayed at Lakeview last September and would choose to again. The owners are very helpful and friendly.

Shaker,
LOL just like to watch "some" non-Members squirm and make excuses as to why they don't contribute financially. It's all a bit of a laugh :))))

Requested pricing and possibly booking for a week from
Broken Hill caravan
Park and received no reply! Must be good to have so much money that you let customers go begging.
Have booked into Lakeview, by there replies and telephone manner can recommend them, give us three weeks and will be able to tell from first hand experience((:

And what would you know about caravan parks - Sir Tavel-a-lot.
There is at least that many
camping spots in the vicinity of B-
hill - especially that little beauty out at 9 mile/
Stephens creek where you can
camp with the Owls, to name one of them.
You just keep travelling and you might learn a thing or two, sonny boy!

We stopped at one of the main caravan parks at
Broken Hill. It was close to town and next to the main road and very, very noisy! But as you'd know most caravan parks are next to main roads. Sparky.

Ok Mike,
This is the story with CV parks in the
Broken Hill area.
On the
Sydney side of town is Lakeview CP it is named because from parts of the
park you can see Imperial Lake. Very friendly management, nice grassy sites, some with en-suite type facilities, swimming pool which is up on the
hill and always catches the breeze, it will be cold for the next few months. It is accessed by taking the first turn to the right as you come into town from the
Sydney Rd, turn right again and head strate into the
park.
On the
Adelaide Rd is
Broken Hill CP. Very friendly management, no grass but all
camping sites are covered with woodchip mulch which is soft underfoot. It also has a swimming pool wich is quite nice, again it will be a bit cool for the next few months. It is on the main road and some big trucks come through there at all hours, there is also a transport yard opposite. The further you can get from the road the better.
At
Silverton, 25km out of town, is
Penrose Park. Penrose was closed for a while following storms in late 2005 which caused a fair bit of damage. It re-opened midlle of last year with new managers. It is a lot quieter than either of the BH parks put does not have the full range of facilities. I am not sure about laundry but it doesn't have a pool. It is also a fair bit cheaper than the BH parks.
Before I lived in the
Hill I stayed at Lakeview a few times and always found it to be very good.
take your time in the
Hill and have a good look arround, White's Mineral and Art Museum in Doe St is very good. And no I don't have any interest in the museum, but if you want I can recommend a few other
places which are run by friends of
mine who would value your custom.
Enjoy the
Hill

Mike I have syated at both and both were great, BH CP has wireless internet if you have a laptop that can get access, other than that I would goto the Lakeview CP as the grassy sites are nice. Of course I would pull up in the car
park of the West Darling pub and stay there with Kevin and Mary, their mixed grill is great as is their hospitality.
