"Surprise and Delight" are features that car designers get all tingly about, things that make prospectve owners smile and think "Hey-Thats Cool!" EO has many of these that I dont think members and non-members are too aware of.

We just yesterday got back from the Territory, as many here do we posted that we were off for a jaunt and got lots of great replies. One in particular from Member - Steve T (NT), who we caught up with in Jabiru where he runs a tour business that I heartily recommend. Steve tells us many places to go see and also mentions that if the waters go down under 1.0m he would be happy to take up thru and up to Ubirr, also mentioned a great mob to fly over JimJim Falls with.

S&D No 1: We wander over to the scenic flight man and happen to mention Steve and EO and the like and he not only looks after us with the cost, but looked after us with flight times arrangements, supremely flexible he was, and a Ballarat boy too originally. I reckon he's just an all around nice guy, but without EO we wouldnt have gone with them - Great news.

S&D No 2: The water did indeed drop and Steve (in a Toyota 100 series) took us thru at 0.8m to Ubirr. Now if not for Steve and EO we wouldnt have even been able to go there in the X-Trail, and probably wouldn't have considered it either, but IT WAS THE HIGHLIGHT of our trip. Steve knew the ins and outs of the place, we had it to ourselves, and we followed him up to the top of the rocks and the view was amazing, fantastic outstanding (insert many additional superlatives here). And that was S&D No 3, were it not for Steve being there we probably wouldnt have walked right up on top, wouldve stopped at the amazing Aboriginal Art and wandered back to the CarPark missing out on THE BEST view in Kakadu (IMHO).

EO is filled with many more, I am sure members and non have their own, but THE benefit of this place is the sense of community we have and the seemingly never ending amount of giving that people here exhibit. As I just read here, this is a nice place to chat, but its more than that. MUCH MORE.

Bonz,

Good to see that you have had a good trip.

It is always a bonus that we can meet up with fellow members and that they are willing to show us around their local haunts.

Steve appears to have the full support of fellow tourist companies which in turn helps us out also. So well done Steve.

Cheers Kev

Hey Bonz.

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip north, I hope the rest of your trip went to plan.

It was a pleasure to take your family to Ubirr, the photo you took going through the water is on thread 43977.

As I said next time your up this way look us up and we will have a beer or 2.

Take care Steve.
