Hi All
Have had a magellan meridian platinum for some time now and have now purchased ozi with natmap raster premium running on a Toshiba E800 PDA which I'm in the process of setting up and finding out how difficult things can be.
We are tripping off to the
Hay River in August and would like to be up to speed with the software by then.
So the initial question to the
Forum is when I load Natmap 250k zone 56 into ozi on the PC I just get a white screen when zones 49 through to zone55 are all working fine. What am I doing wrong?
Regards Mal

Have you checked what scale you are using in the viewer?

Forgot to add , try" Pan Image" > left click & hold , then pan across the screen. It may be hidden behind the stuff on the LH side of the page.

Mal,
When viewing the currently loaded map on the PC and you get to the edge of the map, it will not automatically change over to the next adjacent map.
You need to manually load the relevent map via File - Load Map File.
If the PC was running in "moving map" mode, it will automatically call up the next map.

Sarge and Sandman
Thanks for the replies.
Even when I run the natmap raster viewer from the desktop and not through ozi with the 250k map of australia and pan from zone 55 over to where zone 56 should be the zone 56 area is white.
I originally had played around with this map (zone56) to try and put it in a pda but then the map area went white in the top left corner and the remainder of the screen is brown.
Not being a techy could I have corrupted the disc program or something?
If I carryout the same steps for the other map zones, they all work fine.
Can someone help
Regards Mal

Mal,
Very unlikely the CD or DVD would have been corrupted. It should be read only.
Try reinstalling Zone56 again. You should be able to copy it direct from the CD/DVD directory into the NATMAP Maps folder, without having to run a full install.
In NATMAP Premium (which I have) you start the program and it displays the whole of Australia. When you select a particular point on the map, a more detailed map is referred to at the bottom right of the screen and you then load that detailed map.
If you scroll to the boundary of the map, you will get a white section indicating you have reached the edge of that detailed map.
Only within OziExplorer do you need to load one of the Zone maps to start with and then manually load another (adjacent) map when you have reached the edge of the map. In moving map mode, the next relevant map is automatically loaded.
