Hi all,
Just saw the most powerful hand torch ever. Hadn't seen my old man for over a year (He lives 6 hrs south of here). He showed me this torch (Government issue of course) which was the size of a double A maglite and I would use it as a spotlight on the Ute. An led globe and also looked to have some sort of holes in it for cooling. It has a rechargeable battery but the downside is it was almost $400.

you wont drive a measly 6 hours to go and see your old dad! more excited by a torch? excuse me but i lost my old man recently and he was in brisbane and i was in adelaide, bit more than 6 hours, and i managed to see him 3 or 4 times a year, especially in the last days. when he is gone you will regret, go and see him as often as you can, and then some more.

Sorry Hiab,
I do try and see him as much as possible but he is still very young and constintally spends time in Sydney and this time it was convienient to have dinner with myself and my sister. This is the first time in 10 years he has made an effort whilst he has been here. I make as much effort as I can when I am down that way. Sure I may regret it but it is a 2 way street. He is in Sydney more than I am near to where he is. As a matter of fact he told me he was up here 6 months ago to pick up his new boat (Government boat) and took him 3 days to get to the boarder in it. I was very excited for him but very disapointed he did not invite me to do the trip with him. Only took him 3 days because of big seas. I love that sort of stuff. Especially when you are with somebody who has the experience to do it.

PS Hiab,
I do respect him to much especially for some of the lives he has saved out to sea that no one ever hears about and about the bodies he has also had to deal with over the years

As I have said before, you are a very brave man on a keyboard, but lack the guts in real life. I notice you haven't talked to that man at the pub out Western Qld for your instructions.

I have told you once before you gutless wonder, speak to Brophy ! You have asked various members of this Forum on previous occasions to post addresses, so you can vilify your threats, you don't think in all honesty that they are going to do this on a public forum. You always come up with the scenario with all that "one day we will meet" as a pretence of your bravado, well you now have the opportunity by talking to Fred, and as I have said before he will point you in the right direction ! By the way let's see how brave you are by putting "YOUR" Address & number in your members profile, so that not only can I contact you but other people on this Forum can also. I'm sure a few of the people that you have offended previously would appreciate this.

No Idle trheats Kovac, Just a bit of dry humour right back at ya.....
U obviously did not see my post about that piece of poo in the picture.......... As we speak there is 3 toyos and 1 Nissan (Spot the odd one out) sitting in the backyard.
Am about to enter into discussions with the bank for one of those V8 Super cars, oh hang on cruisers.
I hate my Nissan with a passion and realise I made a mistake 10 months ago. Have now decided to let as many people know the facts about the "Nissan Experience"

I've had it for about 12 months. I've never set-up or tried the run time... who does. It's still on its first initial charge after purchase. It's not used as camp light (too bright and blinding) its only used spasmodically. I had cause to use it last night and made the mistake of looking at the lens to see if one or both beams were on and got blinded for a short while... bright as.

Yeah i know how bright it is,a camper showed me his one and it was pitch black at the time, quite impressive....

His complaint was the run time, but then again either he did not realise how much he uses it or the battery was on the way out !

Who knows

*made the mistake of looking at the lens to see if one or both beams were on and got blinded for a short while*

we all have the Frank Spencer moments !

Someone on this forum bought a Tank Spotlight and got it going and they had a link to a picture of it, now THAT redefined my notion of a torch. Could probably find it in a search.

So small it can stay in your pocket and you sometimes wash it in there because you dont realise you left it in there...

I bought one of them tooCheap rechargable 500 gazillion candlepower toches (about $13.98) and it is bright... however after a days charging it lasts about 60 seconds tops! Bought a Dolphin as a intermediate fill in but still on the lookout for a possum spotter torch.
