Was just looking back over a few posts and noticed that in Oct 2002 there were some posts on this site that were in different colours.

Is there anyway that text can be formatted for font type/ colour/bold/italicise etc

A different colour could come in handy at times eg: quoting part or all of someone's post

To see what I mean, have a look at post # 2234 and scroll down. There are replies there in green, blue and red.

I think it may be just the headers.

Me thinks that Andrew has cheated and created a jpeg file and then posted a link to it somewhere on the net.

Yeah, well, very amusing, but does not really answer the question does it.

Well i does answer the question somewhat..... unless you make the text an image, then there is no other way to achieve it IIRC.

Test of standard html coding for colour

IIRC there is some sort of html validator that ignores certain code between the >< symbols (reverse order shown to hopefully stop them working in this case)

There is an easy way of highlighting text in red, but I think we all know that one:-)
