Steve from Top End Explorer Tours
Most on this
forum have herd of Sweetheart, A 5.2 mtr croc that was caught in 1979 by Dave Lindner.
Well Dave turns 63 today, he still loves crocs but leaves the catching up to his son Gary these days.
Dave was a
Ranger in
Litchfield NP,
Mary River District,
Kakadu and Port Essington in Arnhemland.
Today Dave lives in
Kakadu with his wife Patsy a TO from Arnhemland, they run the Buffalo
farm that supplies meat to the TOs of
Kakadu and West Arnhemland.
He is still able to carve up a Buffalo in under an hour.
Hear are some Stories on Dave.

Steve
Please wish Dave a Happy Birthday from me. I only met him briefly on occasions in the 70's and 80's and he might not remember me.
Cheers

I was living in
Darwin when Sweetheart was around and we would not go fishing down there. She bit off a couple of outboard legs and crunched the side of a couple of tinnies, so that was not a good look.

I read the book on Sweetheart and not a bad read really. I dare say it would have been an emotional moment for all on board when that Gecko lashed onto the boat and shook the bugger out of it. Not to mention getting tossed into the water.
