Can anyone give me any advice on what camper trailer or wind-up would be suitable for 2 adults and 2
young kids to travel the top end from
Perth to
Brisbane - Need something light ( discovery tdi towing with)moderate to light off road driving, need two rooms don't want to be stepping over kids to get into bed, don't really want to be putting up awnings so the kids can sleep.Basically need something easy to manage but comfortable and light to tow. Someone please help ,only have two months to organise it!

Visit the Jayco and Coromal dealers in Cannington for ideas and then
check their advice with the
forum . Lots of previous discussion here ,
well worth searching .

Check this out Camprite: www.campritecampers.com.au/
Ideal for 2 adults and 2 kids, sets up in minutes.
Also have a look at Pioneer campers: " target="EOF" class="lbg">www.pioneercampers.com/
Not much time to make your decision and to be happy with your set up, good luck.

Neither of these have two rooms but do provide options to avoid stepping on the kids. :-)

I agree a Camprite is a good choice for 2 adults + 2 kids, best on the market IMHO in the camper trailer range for a family.
But if after more of a caravan style, then the Windsor Rapid is a good choice. Its extremely quick to set up and has a whole host of advantages over the Jayco/Coromal types. Click on my rig link below for some pics of both.

We have had a Trak Shak for over 10 years now and love it.
It will go anywhere you can take a car and trailer is lighter than most to tow is quick and easy to set up and has heaps of room inside.
The beds can be left made up so that saves time. The beds (2 queen size) are up off the floor and very comfortable. We have an additional foam matteress for the 3rd child.
Have a look at the website www.trakshak.com.au I think or just search for Trak Shak. They are based in
Adelaide but transport all over for reasonable rates.

Bucky,
Ours is over ten years old now. It is very
well travelled and is still going strong. We have just replaced the mattress that me and the missus use. THe one the kids are on is fine for a little while yet.
That and a couple of tail light globes is about it.

Have a look in a newsagency and see if they have a magazine called "Campertrailer Guide". Lots of good ideas and plenty of examples of different sorts of trailers. If you have the money the wind-up style such as Jayco or Goldstream are probably the way for you to go as there is very little setting up compared to the tent trailer style. Good luck.

If you want a CT....Camprite !!!!
If you want a pop top .....Jayco, Coromal, Goldstream !!!
Depends on your tastes, but if you want to go offroad, have a good look at the Camprite, it doesn't have two rooms but the sleeping arrangements for two kids is very good ( no I don't own one, I have a KK, which is good for us two )

We've got two kids ourselves and have just purchased an All Terrain Camper after seeing it at the
Sydney Show, heaps of room, great quality and seems very durable - would handle a lot more than light off road so probably a bit more than you're after.
I wouldn't recommend a Pioneer for a family with two kids, particularly if you're traveling up north in the heat. Small windows and small floor area.
Most campers seemed like they would take about the same to put up. Complete
Campsite was another whose quality we were impressed with.
Check out the website www.campertrailers.org for a complete list of different brands and a look at some picture of members campers to get a bit of an idea. You can
check out the trader section to see ones for sale as
well - usually more detailed pics in there.
