Hi all,
I have just fitted a new pair of rear disc rotors to our 80 series. The old ones had a big scour and were beyond it. I got new rotors for $129 and Bendix 4wd pads for $194 delivered to home in Sydney from Melbourne. Fitted perfectly.
Supplier was Ringwood Auto Parts, Robert Mills the guy and 0397222842 the number. No connection, just very satisfied and thought I would share the info.

Interesting prices
In my workshop we sell the Bendix 4wd disc pads for $82.50 a set in Sydney.
The 80 series rotors are quite economical to purchase after market?
What brand were they? The most common is RDA and DBA.

Yes, that is what I meant to say, Rotors $109 + $20 postage and pads $65 in same parcel. Total $194. At least I understood what I thought I should have said, I think.

I've given up on the Bendix 4wd pads, I feel they are too hard on the rotors and constantly wear grooves in them. I've got a new set of DBA slotted rotors to go on my GQ and I'm going back to Nissan factory pads, they are a bit more expensive but I never had a problem with them.
Regards Andrew.

i also gave up on the bendex for the same reason when i looked at the pads after getting grooves in the rotors i found what looked like small stones embedded in the pads i fronted the brake guy who fitted them and was told i had just picked up stones from dirt roads i wasnt happy with this story as there was no track in the pads for the stones to get into centre of pads so pushed brake guy to query bendex and it turns out that bendex has a problem with nissan rotors building up metal fillings and for a stone in the middle of pads thus scoring rotors bendex admitted this and supplied me with 2 new rotors and pads but fitted original pads Col

Hi there Ian, I have used the Bendix 4wd pads on the old hilux and never had an issue with them. I am about to put some on the prado as well. The amount of brake dust after a week on the alloy wheels is incredible. Only washed it last saturday and have done 110k's for the week and the black dust pheww, and I dont brake hard. They are currently genuine pads. So will be interesting to see how the new pads go in myn as well. Regards Steve M
