g'day d and d
remember in the early seventies working for a finance company in adelaide. i was sent out to repossess a phase III on a friday night. had it on the parents front lawn all weekend before it was surrendered.
luckilly i was a conciencious worker otherwise i would have taken it out saturday night. always remembered how heavy the clutch was and taking of at lights needed care and also remember it sold at tender for $3600.

thanks for the memory

You should have bought the GTHO for yourself, would have been a great investment , Imagine if one had the money back then to have got two, use 1 and wrap one up into storage and unwrap it now with 40 mile on the clock , NAME YOUR PRICE would be the call ,
Well I just got the model from TRAX in the mail yesterday , see the link and click on SUPERSCALE . I have the 1970 GTHO Phase II not shown, the 48/215 Holden, 1969 HT Holden Monaro GTS 350. and 1971 VH Charger R/T E38 - Magenta.
Was wondering why no one has made Good top quality models of the Landcruiser Troopcarriers etc

Don't really matter what Factory they came from as listed in my original post it says 800, Phase 3s, I only copied it from an Enthusiasts web page

ummm...their figures aren't quit right.......

Their basic data table indicates 300 built, but their text says 800....

300 is the correct figure

For more accurate details, have a look at;

I would lean heavily toward any numbers that came from FORD only [ your link] , after all they were the ones who made them
