Thanks for that. I was up there in 2005 but didn't need to stop that much for fuel with long range
tank. Freinds going this year will need to.
Friend told me last year Bramwell
junction would only sell 70ltrs, hence the quantity question.

We were just through Bramwell about 5 days ago. They wanted to restrict to 30litres - as one of the road crews had just bought 400 litres. He said it was stopping the road works, or having to ration the fuel. This was diesel but I guess it still shows you that it may happen again this year. He was also the most expensive at around $1.90/l Diesel.

Jackablue,
Last year the Cape had an extremely prolonged wet season with access for tankers was severely restricted. This caused the rationing you mentioned.
Without getting the map out I can't quote you the longest gap between fuel stops but even a pretty small
tank won't have any trouble.

depends when you are going
as mentiond below, last years wet was longer than normal.
we went in june.....
coen nothing
bramwell 30ltr limit
jardine was limited
we actually followed the tanker into archer river, which didn't stop at
coen or go to musgrave. this was only the second delivery of the season.
just check rd conditions closer to leaving.
we saw 2 cars, 1 rodeo and 1 hilux that didn't make it to
Bamaga, and that was on the PDR.
