Well today is the last day of my holiday.

The phone hasn't rang since Nov 15,
Jabiru started to fill up on the weekend.
Gunlom water fall opens tomorrow then soon will be Maguk then The big ones Jim Jim and
Twin Falls.
Parks say they will be open very early June.
So

Lyndon.
Unfortunately you don't have to pay an entry fee any more, The fee was taken away 3 years ago for political gain.
The idea no fee more people, in reality it meant no fee more idiots, who don't give a bleep , ( locals from
Darwin leaving their bleep every were) don't get me wrong It's a great place to visit.
Yes there is fees for camping $5.40 per person per day for the managed and
well kept
camp grounds, no charge for the 4wd camping areas but limited facilities.
Cheers Steve.

So you'll soon be telling Fritz in Britz to put his hubs in when he's stuck in one of those
sandy creek beds on the way to
Jim Jim Falls ? :)))

I found the worst bit was after you'd fixed em up with a smile and a wave, they'd roar past you at a zillion km/h without even a wave. Maybe I was just unlucky (or lucky as the case may be :))

About 10 years ago we were coming back from
Twin Falls, just across the crossing was a very exausted french man and his very ( at him ) abusive wife, yell and screaming at him.
The usual britz bog rear wheels bogged front wheels high and dry,
well if you thought she was abusive to him before, you should have seen her when I locked his hubs in and drove it out.
Thats one of soooooo many.
Cheers Steve.

Steve, those French women are so exciteable, as I recall. But you try an Italian woman who'se upset ! (No, SWMBO is ozzie:)
But it can work the other way around, also. I was walking a crossing on the Cape when a tour bus just dove straight in...he knew it
well...and nearly drowned me !
Can't say I enjoyed meeting too many operators and their "broods" up there....easy way to turn a quiet
camp into suburbia ! I'd guess you'd know the feeling :))

Wasn't really the guides fault, twas the customers. I guess thay wanted to have a good time, which is great. But imagine about 30 tag along vehicles arriving , forming a semi circle (Indians on
Cape York ?) , opening their doors and turning their UHF's volume up so that the whole
campground can hear them talking to the 4wd beside them. The op told me he couldnt wait to get rid of the whinging #'s :))
Oh
well. I'll bet there are some really nice ones out there...like yours of course :)))
