G'day everyone, I will be heading off to the outback in July for a 6 week trip with some friends and I need to get two Holden Rodeo 2004 RA 16 X 7 inch steel rims as spares.
I have tried ringing all the local wreckers in Melbourne's northern suburbs for a pair but to no avail, does any fellow forumite know where I could get two such rims in Melbourne...I would even go as far as Ballarat or Shepparton.

Thanks in advance,
John D

Probably easier to get 2 Sunraysias from a Tyre shop.

Why do you need 3 spares?

Hi John,

As far as I know all the 6 stud wheels for the smaller 4wd's (Toyota Hilux, Nissan Navara, Mitsubishi Triton, Mazda Bravo and Ford Courier etc) have identical stud patterns, BUT the offsets may be different. It would be a case of try it and see

However I know from personal experience the Rodeo rim will fit a Courier and vice versa, but am unsure about the others. I have a Courier and my S-I-L has a Rodeo

Other options may be to;
Check with Bob Jane or similar about Sunraysia or similar replacement rims out on special.
or
Ring around the big tyre places to see if they have suitable steel rims left over from when Alloy rims have been fitted.

You might be surprised what is out there.

Good Luck

john,

ring a couple of holden dealers,. they put alloys on a lot of lx models to trick them up. if they dont have them the tyre fitters would have them lying around. my local dealer gave me 4 and had a pile left but i'm in northern nsw.

Hi there John, as mentioned above the sunraysia if you are really stuck and cant get one/two holden rims prior to your trip if there only for spares looks really isnt an issue. I had them on the lux only $45 each new from Bob Jane. Have you tried ebay some one on there might be trying to flog some off as there is a huge amount of rodeos especially here in Sydney that are running around with huge 18/20 chrome inch rims on 4wd models and obviously are never going to go off road so must have the originals laying around. Give holden a ring surely there not that dear for a steel rim ?? Then again if they are like Toyota's prices. Regards Steve M
