Last week I escorted 2 trucks to Hope Downs
Mine just 80KLM N.W of
Newman , it was the driver of the Volvo who had a Navman , the ETAs were not the same as my Nuvi 660, , I had a look at it and thought it was crap but didn't say anything to him, Anyhow I showed him the Garmin Nuvi 660, how it's my hands free kit as
well, and what it does and told him he could get POIs from a website and from my web site too but my files would not work in his Navman unles converted because they are Garmin files, I had an Email from him saying He could not get the files for truck
parking bays to upload, [ waypoint files , not .gpx files is what he had downloaded ], so I phoned him to give some help and told him he can't put Garmin files into a Navman , He said it is a Garmin .....like yours , went a got one soon as I got
home , .........Geez I had a laugh to myself,
Doug

Thanks mate. I just like to get the best, not the most expensive but a product that works and is functionable , I usually do a lot of research into a product before I buy , took me 5 months once to decide on a new 1969 Ford Cortina GT over the Torana GTR , and a Hillman Hunter GT , I had a good run with the Cortina and loved it,

Hi Dougie
I can HONESTLY say with confidence Navman are PATHETIC !
well they were up to two years ago, would not think they are any better now.. Oh hang on i think they came up with a BRAINSTORMING IDEA like if you want to go to
SYDNEY they show you the Opera House LMAO....
They lost me when i was with a friend going to
Canberra from
Melbourne and soon as we hit the roundabout just before
Canberra it bleep itself ,sent us too
Perth i think it was,it had no idea... ! lol
I suggested when the owner wanted to go to
Darwin he enter
Adelaide into the unit .
Lucky we had a Melways and thats a fact.
cheers

Your learning ,
I just went over to Harvey Norman to buy a DVD Player/Recorder, I walked out , so went to JB Hi-Fi, once again walked out empty handed, why .... because they were all made in China or Indonesia, when I find one made in Japan I will buy it. And If I can't I won't bother,
