Going fishing Thursday between lock 7 and 8 and was wondering how much consistant rain in the area has fallen. We will try to get the commodore in with assistance from two cruisers and catch some cod and callop (yellowbelly for everyone outside S.A.) We will be on UHF CH18 in convoy and scanning CH40 if anyone wants a chat, we love to talk about fishing!
Cant wait to get there regardless of the weather, a nice red makes wild weather better. ;-)
Cheers Chard.

Hi went to Lock 7 weekend B4 last.
In places it was very wet and the road was like a lake in a couple of places.
Had to use a side road around the origanal road.Only a bit slippery.

We had some rain today and more due this Thursday.

We went to Lock 7 via the Lindsay Point Road so may be different if you access from Old Wentworth Road side ?

I would see how much rain we get on Thursday B4 taking a 2 WD into that grey clay area.
Good luck leave some fish in the River 4 me.

Cheers. Scoof.. :-)

Thanks Scoof,
We will be going in off highway 20, turn off to neds and in on Mulcra Island. We go there every year just a little bit earlier normally. Looking at the long term forecast on Foxtel they say no more than a few showers Thursday and fine but cold for the rest of the weekend.
Wish us luck. (we may need it!!!!)
Chard.

Hi Chard, I don't think you will have any joy getting a Dunnydoor into the area this week, maybe next week if the rain stops and the wind keeps up over the weekend. In places near Neds at the moment you will even have your hands full in th Yota.

As Scoof said it rained quite a bit over the last week and still raing tonight. Put up another post tomorrow night if you want any further info.

You could check post 45449 and also have a look at BOM Link Renmark has had 18 mm of rain so far this month or 3.2mm in the past 48 hrs. Why not give the Lock Master at Lock 3 a ring for up to date info. Sorry I don't have the phone number. Check with SA Water, they should be able to help you with it.
