Getting permission to use the north road into Cotton Creek was as easy as a quick phone call. No permit required, as one popular map says.
Diesel only available, currently $3.00 per litre.

Equinox.
That is a good trip the east west part of the track paralells the
Rudall river, so you are xing tributaries often so its up and down dale a bit.
about half way from the talawalla/
telfer road is a
good camp at a large tributary with a large
pool ( when we were there anyway).......we didn't go to
Camel rock.

I forgot to mention that if you are going north out of Cotton Creek you will need a very good mud map of the track to follow as there are mobs of them! We came in from the north so it was farely straight forward, remember making the comment at the time that it would be difficult to work out the way out if going the other way.
Cheers Mac

Mac,
I have the Natmap Rudall Sheet both on paper and moving map. I will be coming from the north.
These tributaries you speak of, and show on the maps - Did they have any water in them, or were flowing when you went through?
Cheers

Equinox.
We did it several years ago and all the creeks were dry, the main river stream had pools in it.
The one we camped at ( that I mentioned in previous reply) had a large
pool where the tributary joined the
Rudall river.
