Do you realise they can be refilled?
I use a MacCoupler bought from the USA.
Otherwise I think K-Mart are as cheap as anyone at around $6.50, or wait for a 20% off camping sale.

Cannot see the logic in buggering about with refilling these bottles. Especially with the expense of buying a filler hose from the US.

It makes more sense (to me at least) to use an adapter hose and a standard gas bottle in whatever size fancies you, from 2-3 KG to 9 KG.

Unless you have done it, you wouldn't!

I can't see the sense in complicating an easily usable & portable device.

Horses for courses , the size and room required of the small coleman bottle has its advantages for me at least ,with the Maccoupler we now recycle the bottle by filling from the 9kg bottle , saves having to cart from camper trailer to shower tent the 9kg bottle , keeps the coleman hot water system as it was designed ,truly portable requireing only 2 hands rather than 3 ,ie: unit /gas /water now only unit and water., as for expense the cost of the Maccoupler is not excessive if compared to the cost of the adaptor hose.

I use a large gas bottle on my heater and bought an adaptor and hose from the US with Coleman fitting on the end. The brass unit is a T so the Coleman hose comes off the high pressure and then put the regulator back in for low pressure gas. Cost was $75 Australian delivered. Refill the small gas bottles for the Coleman hot water system to keep portable. Nothing is expensive as my gas comes from the auto gas in the car and a 9kg works out at $10 and to refill the 465gm Coleman bottle is less than $1 when you pay $6.95 for the same gas volume. 6 Coleman refills paid for the Mac Adaptor

I was wondering how you can access the LPG from the vehicle. I was thinking that with twin tanks under my cruiser, I could put in a T section in the plumbing just after one of the tanks and control the output with another valve. Obviously both tanks can be isolated with their own valves.
