Has anyone tried the Tanami Drawer Systems and if so, what's your opinion of them?

I tried to get in touch with this mob a few years back via email, they sent me an address and contact number in
Sydney. So I rang but phone had been disconnected, went to the address as was not out of my way and it was a private address. Contact again via email in case it was just a simple error and I am still waiting for a reply.Just my experience with them.
Happy though in the end made my own and saved a heap.

I have a set of these drawers. They're made down at Dromana, south of
Melbourne. They've been around for a while, although the guy who currently owns the business (Baz) bought it from the original owner about three years ago.
I've had good service out of these drawers - I originally bought them on the basis of how I wanted to use them, the price, and the weight.
They may not be the highest quality unit on the market. When I was looking around I found that Outback and Black Widow made higher quality units, for a higher price.
All depends on how you're going to use them, and how much you're prepared to pay.
Hope this helps.
George

I have had
mine in the back of the 100 for nearly five years, I will need to re carpet soon as the fridge has worn some holes where the feet are, apart from that they have never given me a problem.
Mine have been through some serious corrugations (Simpson x2, CSR etc), still close perfectly and no rattles. The added bonus is the weight or should I say lack off, coming in at probably half of the other steel ones.
Cheers Walter

Hi
I've also got them in my cruiser, and absolutely love them. I added a small modification - I've got three drawers and a fridge on a slide, but I also got the fitter to put a cage around the fridge, so that things could be stacked against it without everything falling over when you used the fridge. The guy who fitted them was called Scott (I think) and he got them from
Melbourne and fitted them at his
home in Carlingford. Don't know where he is now tho.
