Hi everyone,
I am about to install a drawer system and cargo barrier in my LC100, but I have to to be able to anchor a baby
seat somewhere. as anyone does this yet ??
Currently the anchor points (3 off) are on the floor, but the drawers will cover these.
My daughter is about 15kgs, almost able to sit in a booster
seat, but i'd prefer to be over cautious and have her remain in the baby
seat for a little while yet.

Taps,
If you don't have one already, you will need to fit an anchor point in the roof. Suggest you talk to Mr Tojo about it as the need to be approved (I believe).
Cheers,
Matt.

Taps,
Is it a
home made draw system or a professionally made one ie black widow or Outback. If it is a professionally made an option is to have the anchor points fitted as part of the draw system.
Other possible alternatives if it is a
home made job is to fit a crab bar across the back. I made a set of draws and was in a similar position to yourself, the crab bar option took up too much room. I had an engineering firm fit an anchor point to the roof.
Hope this helps
Cheers

Outback Drawers and Black Widow have ADR approved fitted child restraints.

The base plate for the drawers in my 100 series has holes cut out where the anchor points are. The drawers end just before this point leaving me access to the three anchor points for the kids seats.

G'day Taps,
I bought my drawers from Graham at : www.offroadsystems.com.au/
Do a search here and you will see how highly Graham is recommended. He can ship to you if you do not live near
Sydney. His prices are very competitive and cheaper than all of the major competitors. Their standard system uses the child restraint anchor points, you will need to order their model that incorporates a
water tank. This base plate has holes around the anchor points. Call Graham and have a chat with him and explain what you need.
Let me know if you have any other questions.

I've just bought the Outback drawer system + their cargo barrier. You're correct that it covers the existing hook points, but there are an additional bracket ($30) that attaches to the 'back' of the drawer system enabling you to use your seats. Not sure how it is with any of the other systems.

Taps,
I was sure the LC100's all have mounting points in the roof as standard. I know
mine does and thats what I use.

Gday Taps
I just made a set, and it sits on a chasis which is 25 x50mm....I put a standard extention strap on the 2 mounting points that run under the draw unit to the hole in the std cargo barrier. The extenton straps come just through the cargo barrier, and i tied them loosely there so they don't fall down when not in use (a bit of a pain to get to under the drawers behind a cargo barrier)....might even put some pics in the rig pics tomorrow if I get around to it.
Cheers Andrew
