Has anyone seen the LC100 (IFS) wheel carriers listed on Ebay ???

It's claimed that they bolt onto the rear quarter of the car, using bolt holes that the rear lights use. This is apparently standard in Japan, and as such, all the strengthening of the rear quarter has already been done.

Has anyone here put one on ??? or heard / seem them ??? They are selling for $399 plus postage.... bargain price......if they're any good.

Taps.

Bought one for the 80 , did not fit it as the strengthening / captive nuts ect are NOT there in Aus spec vehicles , do you want all that weight hanging off metal the thickness of 2 razor blades ??

Hi taps , just a thought if you only want this for trips off road but can handle the wheel being under car when home on the black top there is a guy in Sydney that makes a removable one that fits in the Hayman Reece style towbar and folds down it is better not to have to swing it out the way each time ya want to open the tail gate I thought ?? just put the thing in the shed until next trip ( NOT GOOD FOR THE TOWING COMMUNITY ) but horses for courses !!

Cheers J.B.

J.B.,
Do you have any contact details of the guy in Sydney. I have a Prado which we have to keep the second tyre inside the vehicle and takes up alot of room,
This sound like just the thing I am after
