Hi Muddies - don't worry, you are still the first EO wedding! We met BEFORE we started EO - in fact we conceived EO on the banks of the Cooper River together in 1998...

Congrats David and Michelle
The first 25 years are the hardest :)
Really I have had a great time being a married with children man in spite of what Al Bundy would say. Can't imagine life any other way.
Hope you have all the things you wish for.

Hi everyone,
Thank you so much for your messages - it means a lot to us to have such a large group of friends sending kind wishes. To tell you the whole story, David had originally proposed to me in February 2000 but I wasn't keen on being pregnant and having a wedding, and then I just kept putting it off - breastfeeding, still too fat, etc. Then David suggested we just go to the registery office (which appalled me) and that just didn't inspire me to "plan" anything. Like most families, isn't it always the girl that does the planning? So if I wasn't keen to plan it, it just wasn't going to happen :-) Then the idea hit me to surprise him with the wedding as a 40th birthday present... which of course you can't do. But I did involve him at the last minute as the plans were already done, and a trip with friends to
Broome had already been booked under the guise of his birthday. Needless to say, he was very happy with his 40th Birthday present. He did get rather spoilt on that note too - he is a major Star Trek fan, so I organised the group to chip in for the Collectors Edition 47 DVD set of all 7 seasons (which will probably take him until he is 50 to watch), plus a Hot Air Balloon trip over the Avon Valley area near
Northam. We've been together for almost 12 years now, and have been parents for almost 7 years so we think we're doing something right. Working with one's husband is a challenge, but hey, love it blind right?! So there's the story, sorry it's a bit long-winded but I think it answers some of the questions asked above.
