G'day,
I picked up a second hand Dec02 LC100 4.2TD last year (at only 47K Km) and I notice that it seems to automatically change down a gear in certain conditions when I touch the brakes.
It certainly is very useful when towing a 2.3T van going down hills or coming up to stop lights.
Is this a feature of the onboard computer, or did the previous (unknown) owner have something special added?
Pete

What a pity the BMC Truck I was driving in 1975 for McCullogh Car Carriers of Wagga Wagga NSW wasn't like that ,It had the Allison Auto. very first trip to
Sydney with 7 Cars on board , when I got to the top of Razorback Mtn on the Old Hume I took my foot off for the decent and she goes into ....nothing, SCAREY, had to manually pull it back into low, I think the new Trucks of today would be like your LC. Unfortunately I didn't get the chance to try one before giving up Semi's.
But if what you saying is correct that would be a great safety issue,
Doug
