In the body of thread I have noticed the words 'Site Link' to take the reader to the revelant site. I know how to cut and paste a web address from the address bar but how do I get this 'Site Link' to display?

Use the right mouse button on a PC with Internet Explorer (forgotten what on a Mac - perhaps Alt-Click) to bring up a menu which has "Copy Shortcut" on it ... then you can paste it in your browser the same way, or right click and use the "Open in New Tab/Window" and you will have it in another screen.

Also with the mouse over the link, most browsers display the URL - for instance IE does it at the bottom left in the window frame.

Cheers
Andrew.

Hi Todd, if you have copied a link or page address from within EO, and then pasted it into the body of a new post or post reply it will appear as it was when copied, but after you have submitted the post or reply it will appear in the forum post as a "Site Link".

Regards,

Todd,

When you create a post, or answer one, you will see at the bottom of the window, To Post Hyperlinks:

If you copy and paste the first link into your active window, there are two section within this link to enter information.

Firstly, between the two double quotation marks ("......") you enter the Web address you wish to refer to.

Secondly, you can replace the default "link text" between the right and left carats >..< with any text you desire.
