Fantastic trip, graded road with minor corrigations from the bitumen into the pebble tracks. Water absoultley freezing, had some light showers on the last day. Great photo opportunities with rolling thunder clouds heading over top.

Running waters was awesome, some of the best 4WD tracks and water crossings I have put the LC100 T/D through since purchased. The water springs alone are worth the trip.

Regards Brooka.

Thanks for that Brooka. We'll be there in about a month so let's hope things are the same as you found them.
Alan.

21deg 40' 56 , 121deg 07' 39 , UTM 3 06 282E , 76 01 149N , WGS84 . Look for 5 waterholes close together I'll keep the best places a secret i think . We'll be there again in about 6 weeks . It seems no one has found the best spot yet . Take a look at my pic of the campfire . Cheers Errol

Hi Brooka,

I was going to pass through there next month on the way to Broome and was wondering if you did the loop road, or just the road out from Marble Bar and back?
I'd be interested in doing the loop road but would be dependant on the condition of it. I have read that the south side is pretty bad. Any idea?

Regards, Will.

Road conditions change day to day, but it was fine when we did the loop road in 2005 coming the other way from Marble Bar out to the Woody Woody mine area etc and around to Nullagine, we really enjoyed the drive, although nearly got the van stuck in one of the creek crossings that was a bit chopped up... ...also nearly got the van stuck at Carrawine Gorge... enjoy the trip
