Hi are there many sudden steep hills from
Sydney to the great ocean Rd and from there to
Perth?? We have a
hill called Woy Woy Rd near us and I would be terrified to drive up or down that towing my caravan. Thanks

Trulygipsy. Not familiar with your Woy Woy
hill but I can appreciate your apprehension here.
Sydney to the GOR in Victoria you will probably access via the hume or PrincesHwy
via East Gippsland. Either way these are major highways and there would be many others travelling with a van. Certainly no "spooky" hills along here, just commense sense and driving to the conditions and your capabilities.
I imagine it would be pretty flat after that to
Perth. Even on those spooky hills if you have the vehicle, traction, the correct gearing and van braking I would be surprised if you couldnt safely negotiate them safely. Certainly if your overly worried about this, seek help. Do a Caravan driving course requesting particularly the required skills to overcome your fears here. You won't just learn about spooky hills but all other areas in between. Only positives will come out of it.
Go for it Trulygipsy, that would be a magnificient trip. Enjoy.
True Blue.

if your not comfortable driving a local road like the woy woy road i would strongly suggest a caravan driving course. and if you really don't think your vehicle is capable of towing your van either up or down this
hill, i think you should look at your set up.
although it has a sharp turn or 2 it is not that "scary" of a
hill.
