Do Rays Outdoors still have their 25% sales?

Has anyone received a Rays 25% off sale brochure recently? Mine seem to have stopped coming. I need a couple of things that aren't urgent and don't want to buy them and then find out that if I'd waited a week they are 25% off. The stores are reluctant to tell you when the sales are.

Thanks Kev

That's the current sale catlogue. I'm after the whole-of-store sale as I,m particularly after a few jerry cans and they aren't in the catalogue.

Bunnings have very good strong plastic jerry cans at the moment reduced to $22.00, or Ausssie Disposals have excellent ex military steel jerry cans at 2 for $40.00.

Thanks Shaker

I'll have a look. Unfortunately I need them to be no more than 475mm high to fit into the Trak Shak so the Willow ones (that I bought and then returned to Supercheap) don't fit.

With the ex army style you can carry them on their edge.

I too have a trak shak and need a few more jerry cans (for water) BigW have green ones the right sizes that look pretty much the same as the ones that came with my Trak Shak (VB Plastics) and they were on $20 but had no lids and the sign said to ask at the counter. When I got to the counter with 2 in hand they said they don't have any lids at all. I just think they couldn't be bother looking for them.

Shaker & Lux Boy,

The local Aussie Disposals did the German ex-army metal cans for $20 each even though the sale was finished. I sorted through the ones they had and picked the best three - all in very good nick with new seals.

They also had khaki plastic water containers that are an identical size to the metal versions. "Made for Proquip" on the bottom. Current price is $29.95 but there was one that had $22.95 on it (old stock going by the manufacturing date imprint) so they did three at that price. Good service & therefore got the sale. I mentioned that I was there because of a suggestion from ExplorOz (thanks Shaker!). The salesman (Daniel at Highpoint) said if anyone else wanted more he'd look after them.

Both the metal and plastic versions fit the Trak Shak perfectly.

Cheers

Glad you got sorted our Adrian, I have had those German Jerry Cans for a few years & they are great, we also have the same water containers.
Actually German fuel containers are where the term "Jerry Can" originated.

PS: Have you noticed that the label inserts can be removed & turned over to suit the contents?

Shaker, I made sure that I had the same set of label inserts for all of them - those clever Germans, they thought of everything!

Hi Adrian,
I've been given the whisper that the Rays in Bell st Preston are having a 25% off nearly everything on 10th of August. The current sale doesn't cover some of the other stuff that we want so we will head there then. I would think that the other stores will have sales about that time as well as they have in the past.
Regards from Col.

Thanks everyone.

I rang the Geelong North store (Rays head office) and got onto a very helpful employee who told me that I've missed their sale but Hoppers Crossing is the 27th of July and the city store is the 4th of August.
