Got some time off comming up was wanting to take the camper for a run. I was wondering if anyone had any suggestions for a good spot in SE Qld where dad can do some beach fishing and the kids can have some beach time too. Beach
camping or caravan
park- not fussy. Any good spots would be appreciated, thanks.

Came home this morning via
the beach,Aleisha Track, dead low tide just got through , the rocks @
Rainbow exposed, at
Double Island Point ,trees every where had to go into the sea about 100mm deep to get round some Trees, if the sea was not flat I would had to return to
Rainbow & then down the Freshwater Track ,At the Aleisha track
the beach just Truck width ,The
Toilet block has gone & the banks are Steep

Hi Maf
Site Link
Head north of Brissy to the
Tewantin Ferry just north of Noosa or you can go in from
Rainbow Beach end on the inland or along
the beach (remember good timing for the Mudloo Rocks) Pick your tides right and you should be OK. You can drive along
the beach where you can
camp on the 10klms of beach or in the
camping ground where there is
toilets and a coin operated showers,
well there was when I was last there.
You can collect pippi's and worms along
the beach and if you're in luck you may catch a feed of fish.
There are some nice gutters there for the kiddies too to swim in but make sure you take care and watch out for rips.
I love this section of beach and I doubt I will never tire of going there. With the kids back at school it should be a little less congested.
Hope you enjoy yourselves whereever you go!
Cya

Bribie Island has 64 campsites on
the beach eastern side ,main drawback is cost + NO campfires at any time ,other than that fishing is good to great ,also not all of the sites will accomodate a c/t , however still a magic spot for a shortish
camp of 3/4 days.
