Getting a set of Bridgestone Dueler A/T D694 Tyres on the Landcruiser 100 series next week, had any members got them on their vehicle and how do they find them?

Hi Mike

I had them on a Jeep Grand Cherockee, they are smart looking tyres, I chose them because of the technology, the sidewall anti puncture technology etc. They didnt last as long as I would have hoped, maybe 40k km or less perhaps? But they were predominantly onroad though. I liked them overall but would have liked longer life. They picked up a lot of puntcures late in the piece.

Trust me get the D693s, there Oz made and tougher.

The 694s are Japanese made and not as tough.

I have worn out 12 sets without a blow out, the only puncture I had was on a set that had done 55000 hard kms.

Cheers Steve.

They love being run at 40 psi, The only time I ever changed that was on Frazer Island.

Cheers Steve.

Yes, I agree with Steve's comments.

Am running 693's at present after some investigation on the two.

The current 694's are relatively new though and may well be a good tyre compound. They are now made in Australia.

At the time I purchased my set, I had no history of the Aussie made tyres to help me, so I bought (with some trouble mind you) the 693's. The 693's in the 245/70R16 are becoming rare indeed as I was told Bridgestone are no longer importing them, so in future, the Aussie made 694's will be the only choice in that brand.

The original set of 694's I had previously (made in Japan) lasted 70,000 klms on the Jack. Can't complain with that.

I have been using D693's on my last 2 vehicles for HD off-road work on station tracks etc - NOT ONE PUNCTURE - very happy with them!

694s in 31x10.5x15 38,000 ks so far ,bout 1/3 worn , 70% blacktop at 38psi and rest variable down to 16psi in the sand at Moreton , imo a good "all round" tire.

I had them on my Patrol and had no problems. They survived a 12,000km trip up to the Top End and back.

I've had a set on my STR Navara for around 2 and 1/2 years now.
They've done around 80 000km and only puncture i picked up was on the black top. They've been to the Cape and on the beach without drama.
Apparently a new 694 and 693 are just about to be released.

Mike,

I had D694's on my TD100.

Quite a few punctures, a rock through the sidewall, a slashed sidewall and only 30K out of one of them.

Went to BFG muds and now have 40K on them and they are about half worn after the OTL, Tanami and Plenty amongst others.

Haven't had any problems with them.
