Can anyone refer me to a group or online forum that organises casual 4wd drive group trips in the Sydney region? For the past 2 years since moving to Australia I have always driven solo not really knowing anyone. It would be good for a change to explore with a few other vehicles. Any tips?

Try getting in touch with a 4WD club in your area, or just say goday to any 4wd you meet, lots are happy for others to tag along & share experiences etc.Let it never end!

G'day candef,

There is an on-line forum at www.overlander.com.au. Have a read through it, especially their 'Clubs & Events' threads.

I'm sure you'd be welcomed.

Cheers & see you out there!

Tony

candef,
Try the Toyota landcruiser Club - Sydney, and no you don't have to own a Toyota! Big club with its own website and a discussion group on Yahoo, specifically for members to arrange trips together

Candef,
Sorry I didn't mention that to be part of this you would need to become a member first.

Now, now Mich. Don't be like that. I'm not in one but there must be some normal people in them. Maybe you just picked a bad club, or something

At least they need two hands .
I bet you dont like many things or anyone whos a bit different.
have a nice day and just think one day you might need on the track a helping hand so if a club trip comes along you would refuse there asistance. Cape York Connections

1000 's of people in clubs (2 handed wankers) 1 mich brown not in a club
looks to me that the numbers stack up that the problem may well be with the mich brown not the 2 handed wankers besides its mine & my soap so i will wash it as fast as i like becauce if god didnt want me to play with it he would have put in the middle of my back.

ps just remember to that many of the tracks you travel are only open for 4wding becuace of us 2handed wankers fighting for & maintaning them .

Candef,

I can vouch for the Overlander forum - we organise a number of trips around Sydney (and other areas for memebers not in Sydney).

http://forums.overlander.com.au/

I'm also in a couple of clubs - not filled with the two handed w**kers, thank you - and there's always something being organised. One of them is the LandCruiser club, and membership gives you access to the club land - one block down near Mittagong, the other (with lots of 4WD tracks) down near Goulburn.

Let me also add that in the next few weeks our membership system will have this feature available. This means that Members will be able to post trips, meetings outings etc that they wish to arrange for our members.Regards

Excellent David. A number of us have been doing it "off-line" but it will be good to have a "forum" for this.Be good, or be quick.

Hey BJ,

Was going to do the same myself with a few friends. We were planning to go on Sat, but coming in from Mittagong, camping at Yerranderie overnight.
Are you still going with this rain? Don't know what the track will be like, We are thinking about calling it off. (will have family with us)
