Hi all,

Just got a quote of $66K drive away for a new Prado VX D4D Auto with towbar, I haven't shopped around much yet so not sure if this is reasonable or not.

Has anyone purchased a D4D Prado recently and if so what was the quote?

Also if anyone has any tips on getting a good deal I'd much appreciate your help.

Regards

Paul

Hi Paul, When we bought my wifes new Toyota I rang a heap of dealers, even outside of Sydney (could be worth the trip not sure where your located) and just kept shopping around then you will find you will end up coming down to the last two dealers and work on them. Im not sure how you will go with the prado though as there is a waiting list and there selling like hotcakes so they probably wont really be pushing to do any real specials for anyone especially the new D4D, V6 there's plenty take your pic. There was a thread on here not long ago with some one waiting up to 3 to 4 months for delivery, but still worth a try to see whats the best deal you can get. Good luck with it all and from what Ive heard and read if there is still a wait, it will be worth waiting for, very happy customers on here and other sites about there new prado especially the D4D. Mmmm when I win Lotto. Regards Steve M

Paul
I brought a VX D4D in feb07, great car. I paid just over $68, but had roo bar & other items added.
a friend also just purchased a new D4D. what he did was get all the details & bits he wanted, faxed ALL the dealers in the state with the details & waited for the replies. cheapest was a country dealer.
good luck Tom
