Hi everyone,
For my next trip I need a portable collapsable boat trailer for my 3.7.Any advice on good ones and bad types ?

Real-Ezy are advertisers on this site. Rob, Linda and son Ian are lovely people with which to do business to boot. My folding trailer is a beautifully engineered piece of equipment that has give us years of trouble free use and allowed us to use our boat without being forced to camp in proximity to a launching site.

Other than being an obviously happy and satisfied client I have no affiliation etc; etc.

hi MARK iv'e had a couple of folding boat trailers and i can highly recommend real ezy trailers they are very strong and reliable, i would be the hardest person on boat trailers out so several people say (even ROB) who makes these trailers.i also read were someone said they had a spare wheel the back of the van so they could not fit a real ezy trailer ,I have two spare wheels on my van and with a slight adjustment I fit it o trouble at all.RON

Hey Mark, check trader section here under boats.
There is a real easy folding trailer for sale for $1195 but it is down at Coffs Harbour,could be worth a look

Hi Mark,
we have a"Little Bulldog" folding boat trailer. It folds up like a golf buggy and very well engineered, is licenced and trailerable at 100k/hr, not that we ever need to tow it at that speed. They are made in WA but I believe are available Aus wide.

Hey guys, I am also going through the process of buying a new CT and looking at boat/trailer options. I was thinking of just having a 3.7 tinnie and a sprung Real_Ezy trailer. Are they suitable for normal day-to-day trailering of the boat as well as when off on treks? I would prefer not to have to have a fold up trailer plus a normal trailer for the boat. For this purpose do I need the sprung real-ezy r just a normal unsprung fold up trailer seeing as there is a reasonable price difference between the two?

Real-ezy comments also appreciated (sorry, don't know your name).

My Real Ezy is the sprung model for the very reason you mentioned, I don't wish to have two trailers.

Our trailer is dismantled and goes in the back of the truck when the tinny is on top of the camper during our numerous trips. The rest of the time it's assembled with the boat on it so that we can use it at any time whilst at home.

The trailer has done numerous trips around the Sydney area for fishing jaunts with some to Jervis Bay on the Sth. Coast and a number up to Port Stephens not to mention just about anywhere in between.

Youngest son has just returned from Bribie Island where he went to pick up a boat "gifted" to his mate.

Trouble free performance at all times.

For those that trip to a camping site/park in close proximity to a launching site the unsprung trailers are quite adequate. ot those of us who like to be able to travel any distance over any road then the Real Ezy suspension models are certainly the go.

Mark, some good ones around. Real Ezy is certainly one. I've also seen a few Little Bulldogs and they seem pretty good too.
I have an Almac aluminium trailer, made in Qld. Very good trailer (no suspension), with the biggest benefit to me being it's light weight. This was important as I carry it on the drawer bar.

Apart from brand, you need to consider weight, size when folded / dismantled, whether you want / need suspension (adds weight, but has obvious benefits in some circumstances) and how you will carry it. Once you know these things, the brands mentioned above (and probably some others) are good products.

I've seen a few Flip N Easy trailers while I've been on the road, but have never used one. From the brief look at boat ramps, they seem to be well made.
Certainly worth a look since they are nearby.
