I'm sure many will be pleased to see the torsion bar front end go.
Heard a rumour that teh new 200series will be on display at the Adel;aide 4wd Show next month.
Cheers
phil

Maybe Toyota has snapped up the Jack designer to add practicality to the Cruiser!!! :)

Surely that is the current 76 wagon not the 200... shows how ignorant the fourth estate is.

The 200 series will have two
suspension systems One is a heavier front end of a similar design to the Tundra currently sold in the USA. So no more torsion bars and pretty much the same as the current Prado. The second
suspension which will only be available on Sahara and Lexus, at the moment, and will be from Kinetic in WA and is unbelievable. The car will also come with some very interesting technology some specific to the petrol engines and some shared with the TDI-V8 diesel
Sorry Phil but my information is that it will not be at the
Adelaide 4WD show, or the
Melbourne 4WD show and will probably not be at the
Sydney motor show either. Release is planned for November at the moment and all is embargoed. But if you picture the current RAV-4 and Kluger and make that a larger car then you will get an idea of what you will see in the flesh.

Gday Rob,
Just heard the rumour at the last club meeting. Its nice to have a crawl around these things, but I'm not tempted by a wagon.
Cheers
Phil

Phil howdy. Yep I can understand that as there has been a bit if an expectation that the 200 will show up at the national gathering at
Rawnsley Park but unless I am sadly mistaken that will definately not happen. Noticed a few changes of management at the club but have been way too busy with work to get to any meetings over the last year but hope to get there once in a while
Regards
Rob

Hmm, "computer-controlled rams in place of conventional springs and dampers" in Kinthe etic system??? Sounds great for a road car, but reliability in the fun stuff may be questionable.
