Everyone probably knows this but here goes.
No 1 son managed to put a sizeable dent in front bumper of jackeroo.
Sent him to local panel beater to get a quote (he is 17 and this is 1st bingle so I wanted to teach him something from it) and told him to assure the panel beater his father would murder him (red P plater) so lay it on thick.
Got the quote and must have really turned it on - came back with advice to warm dent with hair-dryer and push it out with is hand - guess what IT WORKS.
Bumper popped back into it's original shape
Even found some touch up paint and did a reasonable job.
I wish my first prang had been that easy to fix.
Ya live and learn

In fact I resent your comments - Presumably you are a panel beater - This only works on this type of bumper for dents that have not damaged the plastic (pop ins in other words)
Your comments and insults flabbergast me - I cannot believe you have never taken advantage of any "trade secrets" of any kind that someone has passed on to you.
Hypocrite!!!!!!!!

Pity Isuzu didn't make the whole body out of the same material, then all we would need to carry was a hair dryer:-))

It only works if you can get at the back of the bumper of course - Nornmal cars would be a different proposition.
I guess the thing is some type of plastic which is moulded.

Bill
You know how we all tend to lean on vehicles whilst chatting away about this or that.
Well me mate leant on SWMBO's X-Trail front guard and it dented inwards....'POP!!'
He sprang away distraught but after about 15 seconds the dent popped back out again leaving no residual effect.
We were all very relieved!!!
So there is a plus for plastic cars....lol
Cheers

Willem,
It is a great party trick with the X Trail, I had the B I L stressing big time when he leant on the front guard the day after we bought it. LMAO

I owned a plastic car, sold it about 8 years ago.
I must get another one soon.
