I have to get rid of about 6 6x4 trailere loads of good clean fill from my garden beds and wondered if anyone knows of any free clean fill sitesin
Perth. My location is Beechboro, so within 20kms of there would be good.
Took a load to
Red hill but they charge $66 per tonne!! and don't paticularly want to illegal dump it.
Any help much apprceiated.

Robert give the City of Swan a call they may have contacts for people chasing fill. BTW
Redhill tip will charge $22.50 for a 6x4 trailer. Scale of fees came out in our Shire Rates Notice.
Other thing is put a
sign out on your verge you never know your neighbours may want some top dressing. We did that years ago when Mum & Dad were digging there pool by hand, (Dad's a tight arse) we supplied sand to the entire street.

Thanks for that Duncan. Called City of Swan but they could not help and referred me to
red Hill. Went to
Red Hill and they charged 22.50 for a normal trailer, but for clean fill they told me they will put me on the weighbridge and charge me $66.00per tonne which I reckon is steep for clean material. We use
red Hill tip all the time and have no probs with the fees but I reckon this is too much. I really like your idea of putting a
sign up though and will give it a go.
Thanks again

You could also put an add in the free section of the Quokka.

Robert
It would mean a drive for you,but the BGC site on Quinns road Neerabup (between Wanneroo rd and Connoly drive)they take any fill and its very cheap compared to the council sites.I was in a similar situation and
Tamala tip wanted $80 a trailer for sand!!
No wonder people just dump it anywhere!

Robert,
It is a shame that you are not in
Sydney as I need a couple of loads of fill for my backyard, to fill holes before we move out of the rental house.
To have to pay $60.00 a Tonne to dump fill is highway robbery as it only costs $30.00 a Tonne for quality topsoil.
Good luck
Kev

Look anywhere there is earthworks. estate work (sub-divisions) are the best. Offer the foreman a slab or two of beer. Six 6x4 trailer loads would not even half fill one tandem tipper. They are normally very approachable. Just don't try doing it on the sly. You may end up having it plus more dumped in your driveway. lol.

If you dump it on my front yard and I'll pay for your fuel. I need some. Live in Armadale.

thanks heaps K9. I am trying something that is very close to my house but failing that I will e-mail you and get your address. The fuel is no problem as I can use work fuel.
cheers

Thanks all for your help, much appreciated. I have been put on to a chap in caversham (just down the road) who apparantly will take clean fill (just waiting to catch up with him at his house). Failing that I will try giving the foreman at the Bennet Springs sub-division a slab of beer (love that idea) and failing that I will call K9 and do the run out to Armadale.
thanks again
