Howdy all, can anyone give me info on
Temple Gorge, off the Ullawarra Rd about 55kms North of
Gascoyne Junction and
Rocky Pool, off the
Carnarvon -
Mullewa Rd about 40kms East of
Carnarvon.
What do you recommend for tyre pressure's when travelling on these roads?
Any other recommended spots to see in this area?
Also any decent fishing /
camping spots just South of
Carnarvon.?We are planning a small trip for the upcoming long weekend.
Ta, Charlie

Charlie haven't been to
Temple Gorge but
Rocky Pool is just that. The river bed isn't so bad it's the bank around where you'd most probably
camp. The area is very rocky with expanses of
flat rock. We didn't
camp but could see that getting a peg in the ground would be nigh on impossible. Mate who dis
camp there said they had to pitch their tent
well back from the
water so as to get pegs in. Roof top tent or CT no probs.
The road in was pretty good like a highway in most parts, but that was late May 06. I ran my tyres at 40psi because it was so good. If it's a bit rough drop your tyres down to 28-30 psi and you'll find a marked improvement in ride.
