Might be a bit slow towing especialy up hills but I thing they put out about 340Nm of torque.

The main thing is the weight of the van in total and also the rated ball weight.

Not a real big fan of towing big things with small engines.

Most people who I have talked to who have a SantaFe are happy with them regarding there performance, ecconomy and driver comfort.

A medium sized sedan could tow a 17ft pop top so I imagine the Santafe could do so too. Better get the specs to be sure. Just check if it needs mods to tow eg a Commodore needs transmission cooler, suspension mods etc whilst a Prado for example is ready to go in standard form

The new VE Commodores have to have a $2500 tow bar fitted including added suport bars, if not the cars distorts and the back window pops out and the roof buckles.

You have to fit a genuin Holden one, if not you loose your warranty.

A VE Commodore with only 1800 kilometers went to auction down here a few weeks ago with a missing back window and a rippled roof.....no other damage.

Don't you love new vehicle designs.

Isnt this the vehicle that Hyundai did an independant test on the launch of it....Towed a 17 foot caravan from Melbourne to Sydney on less than one tank of fuel!

Displaying the ability and fuel use of the new CRDi Santa Fe.

Sorry dont have any more details but it was in the paper when it first launched last year!

Just make sure you keep to the left on overtaking lanes.
