Ok Toyota lovers, can someone assist me in the value of
This 100 series Dual Cab

That is on Ebay.

I think I recall seeing it on Car Sales or similar for around $45 - 50k

Any ideas, I have checked the Red book so please don't reference that.

Cheers Kev

Here it is on Carsales for $48,500.

Has it done beach work, or been in a mine?

Hi Phil,

Thats the one.
I have no idea about it's life, was thinking about getting someone to check it out if it is in a decent condition.

I saw a couple of GXLs with similar specs going at auction this year... though everything was colour coded or chromed. They were 'referred' at around the $35k mark, meaning that was the highest offer they could get but less than the seller was chasing. I don't know if they came to an agreement after that.

There were also a number of standard spec dual cabs that went for around 10-15, though they were all ex-miners with kms from about 50,000- 200,000 and in various conditions.

Hope that helps.

Thanks Kev

For the standards - Yep and yep. Though some were better than others, and if you were picky some were in pretty good condition if you want a 4wd for offroading. Never get the dust out of them though.

The two GXLs were showroom though... They must have been manager's playthings or something.

Would love to get a GXL but my funds wont stretch that far at this stage, so I'll probably end up getting a Standard and upgrade all the seats, front to Stratos suspension seats, and get the rears upgrade to cloth GXL ones.

MN1

Yes he does and he recently sold a 2003 model with aftermarket turbo for less than what this one is advertised on Car sales, but the chassis was not extended and it had a shorter tray.
No doubt she will tell me if I have got it wrong.

They are also selling the recently chopped one but it is way out of my price range :((

Howdy..

yeah he did sell a 2003, no chassis extension and so a shorter tray..he's not too keen on the chassis extensions..not sure why..apart from the 2004 GXL he doesn't have another for sale ...YET..lol..

I can't tell you if it's good value etc, be good to know the car's history..ie mine car etc...and also who did the work..not sure if it's listed there...

seems pretty cheap at the moment...but I"m not expert and he's in Perth..LOL..back Mon night..you could always give him a call Kev and ask him about it.

Hi Lyn,

It was converted by Creative Conversions.

The boss has put her foot down and wont let me bid on it unless I go and inspect it first and I don't have time for that, Bugger.

May call him anyway to find out the reserve and make time if necessary :))

Cheers Kev

Hiya

Creative have been around for a while, so it'd be a good job...flat plate as Al would tell you..lol..an inspection is always a good idea..you just never know..and it's a hefty amount to pay on something sight unseen..

I know it is always better to have an inspection first, have already walked away from a couple of ones in Sydney.

Have you had any nibbles for the GXL yet??

Howdy

lots of lookers, but no nibbles....but not that concerned..we've had a few people have a bit of a look when they've seen it parked places...the first one he sold was bought by a local guy whose wife checked it out in the supermarket car park when I popped up there to get a few things..we've had people ring us while we've been driving and they've been beside us in traffic..LOL..if someone really wants it, they'll buy it....Looking forward to seeing the extended cab that Al did a couple of weeks ago when it comes back here next week.

I just checked the E Bay listing and he reckons that it is a common fault in a 100 series to need a new clutch in less that 111000 kms,

Me thinks it has had a hard life already and may pass it up.

Axle,

That one wasn't converted to a dual cab and being at the Government auctions the Dealers that attended had a higher price determined than me. As I only have so much to spend initially on the purchase and then conversion I had to let it go.

Cheers Kev
