Hi there thinking of going to magnetic island in end of January and taking a boat from
Sydney . Any advice on this and how is the fishing up there.

Go the extra hour and a bit up the road to
Hinchinbrook Channel. Much better.

Maggie Island ain't what it used to be, lived up there 28 years & visited again recently. Go up to Hinchinbrook/
Lucinda area - you can camp/van at
Lucinda, put the boat in & head over to Hinchinbrook Island. Top spot for fishing & sightseeing- watch for crocs though, seriously.
