If you follow the Darling, the last town on that river is
Wentworth.
Mildura is on the Murray, about 30 minutes further driving - along the Murray. Good luck.

You could call in to BURTUNDY STN between
Wentworth and
Pooncarie and ask permission.Got no idea how much
water is there these days though.
Cheers.

G'day Barb
Was up that way three weeks ago. The roads are pretty good, in that you could probably make
Wilcannia to
Mildura in a day.
There's bugger all
water in the Darling, although there was
water flowing over Weir 31 at Menindie. We stayed at
Kinchega National Park, near Menindie, for a couple of days. You can rent a small room at the shearers quarters for about $16/person/day - sleeps four, and gives you access to a fully equipped kitchen. The campsites on the Darling in this
Park are also very good - they have drop
toilets and a rubbish collection service!
Many people seem to pitch their tents off the road by the River.
George
