I've been considering installing a rear view camera system to my caravan. I do not necessarily want it for reversing but to see who is behind me. I have heard that the wireless systems are a bit prone to interference????? and that the Chinese ones are a bit substandard??????
I did have a system by Swann from DSE which had a green screen but this has now cacked it and are no longer available.
Any suggestions????

Poron is a "recognised" brand name and they provide a good solution for most circumstances.

Another distributor I can recommend is Brash Imports (based in Melbourne) which have the best range of camera varieties I have found. The prices quoted on the web site is also accurate.

I use the Polaris system (formerly known as Poron).

Derek from ABR also sells a similar system nowadays.

There has been a fair bit written on this forum about these set-ups.

G'Day,

I went to my loca auto sound store, who happens to be a polaris dealer, and asked all sorts of questions.

Ended up with a similar screen to the small polaris with a much better quality camera for a very similar price. wired in for $80

For a rear view camera go for a 75 degree rather than the wider ones, will give a clearer view further back down the road

Regards

Rolande
