Just wondering if anyone knows what the best thing to clean windows that have been tinted is, without ruining the tint? Have heard not to use windex and products alike.
Cheers

Michael, we were given a bottle of some "special" cleaning agent and a "special" soft cloth and told never to clean the tint with normal household cleaners or detergents. The warranty on the tint may be void if inappropriate cleaners are used. Also, you aren't suposed to clean them for several weeks after the tinting has been applied.
Having said all that, when we purchased our previous car, with tinting, no-one told us all that info, nor provided any special products. We just cleaned it with the old warm water and metho trick. It worked
well and there has been no visible damage to the tint in over 5 years.
So, there you go ...Be good, or be quick.

My "Tint" man suggested Mr Sheen and a lint free cotton cloth. Have used this method on boththe 4WD and car and have had not adverse effects. (Much cheaper than the "special" stuff some
places sell and recommend.
