Can anyone explain the locations of
Pyramid Hill in the
Places section , there are 6 listed and for what I can work out only No 4 is in the correct position , No's 1 and 2 are far out and one of them is out on the Great Northern Hwy

Can't help with the lat and long but sure know where it is.
As a
young man my grandfather built the original station at
Pyramid Hill back in the dream time.
He and his team sailed, and I mean sailed, from
Perth to
Port Smith where they were met by the foreman and roustabouts of the day. They were then bundled onto a team of camels and travelled for a week through Roebourne before arriving at the proposed
Homestead site. One evening on the trail they suffered a raid on their
campsite & stores where one of the culprits was summarily despatched to another world before continuing their journey.
There were no materials to hand apart from their trowels, carpentry gear, shovels etc and all bricks, frames etc were made on site from what nature provided.
He had a litany of tales to tell and many landmarks around WA bear the mark of his trowel including the original Gibson Soak Hotel and the
Wagin Town Hall.
