4WD driver training course

Just wondering if you have noticed any Ford F250 4 wd crew cabs up in the Far North.
I have been looking at one and need an experts opinion on how they would go up there .

In comparrison to Landcruser the F 250 is 600 kilos heavier

And it is 1.3 meters longer (geting in and out of creek crossings?)

The thing is they have a 7.3 turbo charged diesel V 8
Maxium power 175 kw @ 2600 rpm

Maxium Torgue 684 Nm @ 1800 rpm

The thing i liked about the twin cab ford F250 is the cab is seperate from the back Tray and the back tray is 8 foot x 6foot Plenty of room for wimmim :)

What i notice the most about lancrusers is there is no room for mah gear

No really r they as thirsty as they look?

they certainly look & sound like a beast.

No i can say i have never seen one of those mothers up north.
What i would like to do is follow one save the scratches on my truck also good for track clearing.
IN my opinion they might be a bit long and a bit wide for some of the tracks. But it would be interesting to see.

The F250 is far more popular up here than I thought they would be. American iron up here generally has a poor reputation. Out west the F250 is very popular and a friend of mine who is a diesel engineer and a Toyota man thru and thru has just bought a space cab. He loves it, much more room than the Toyota, much more torque and far better economy and every thing is gear driven off the crank no belts and this is the 4.2 6 cylinder. He did his home work as many up here have done and decided the 4.2 was a far better all rounder than the V8. Interestingly when I posted on the 80s list asking how Ford can have much more power and much more torque with no belts to change and far better economy I didn't get one answer. I thought if i could get a few of the black fellows
(the ones who dig holes by shifting rocks in the river creatateing holes that the tourist get Bogged in then charged $500 to get towed out with the Goverment Tractor ) Welcome to the Far North

To go ahead with a brush hook and cut the scrub back (not much hope every 2 nd thursday )

It would save mah f 250 from scratches.
