wiring 7 pin trailer plug wots 1-7?

gday all

just wondering if anyone can tell me what the numbering code is

ie 1 is indicator etc etc
7 is earth

any help would be much app by this bodgy backyarder!

ellis your lucky ifound the sheet
1 left indicator yellow
2 aux blue
3 earth white
4 right ind green
5 aux black
6 stop red
7 tail brown

the 2 aux are normally trailrer brakes and 12v supply to a van if towing89 nissan looking foward to august and more travelling

Ellis is my middle name & I'm in Alice.

Thanks Gob 4 looking up the sheet. I had the towbar fitted when I was rear ended. The insurors saw sense as the TJM step-tow was the same price as the Toyota flimsy step. As such the wiring was never done & has been at the bottom of a ong list.

Any way hanks again.

Ellis, it would appear not all 7 pins are wired the same way. My connections are different from those given above, as are the wire colours. I suggest you break-out the trusty multi-metre to check yours.Be good, or be quick.

The "Vehicle Standards Bulletin" issued by the Commonwealth Department of Transport states "Trailers and towing vehicles must have electrical connectors which comply with Australian Standard2513-1982 'Electrical Conectors forTrailer Vehicles'.

1 Left hand turn Yellow
2 Reversing signal Black
3 Earth return White
4 Right hand turn Green
5 Service brakes Blue
6 Stop lamps Red
7 Rear lamps, clearence and side marker lamps Brown

.........and for 12 pin connectors

8 Battery charger / electric winch Orange
9 Auxiliaries, etc/Battery feed Pink
10 Earth return White
11 Rear fog lamp Grey
12 Spare Violet
