Hey just finished my trip of the
Pilbara it was fantastic spent the 3 days in Karajini NP missed out on Mill Stream due to too many flat tyres and no Ice at the Karajini NP echo
Park and none at the Munijina Road house so decided to go to Roebourne instead and got to Mill Stream on a one day, day trip unfortunately did not get flat tyres repaired till late in the afternoon due to everyone else had flats as
well but you get that. And kinda glad things turned out the way they did, after speaking to a guy who come up through Mill Stream to Roebourne nearly lost his axel on the his camper trailer due to the ruts in the road where that deep and the Rio Tinto rail road access is closed due to road upgrades kinder put me off but after arriving to Roebourne I should have stayed the extra 3 Nights in Karajini it was truly nice there
well worth the visit will be going there again when the little tackers are a bit older and not to scared to climb over the rocks. The Prado Pulled the Jayco Camper Van like a champion was quite suprised by the power the 2004 v6 has I had to keep backing off she just wanted to keep going. As for fuel consumption for all those who give me the advise they where spot on thanks for that 860km per 180ltrs still pretty good considering what it has to towe.
I was pleased with the van too although Jayco has to do away with plastic clips they just do not last lol. Kids loved the trip and so did I it was worth it. Here is the Itinerary.

Very close to what we did but does not include km around the towns and NP probable add another 600 km on too that but it was worth the trip a little rushed but it gave me what is out there and know what is expected at
places and how many days required to spend next trip there I will though be up grading the the tyres to a cooper or a goodridge most probabley a cooper for they are australia wide and easy to get in when required. Any question I will try and answer but it was worth every penny it was fantastic to see country side lick that.

Surprised you were bothered by flat tyres. Any idea why?
Last month we got back after 11,000km through the
Pilbara, Canning, Rudall River etc etc and had 3 vehicles and no punctures.

Yeah running on Bridgestone Desert Duelers A/T not even 6 months old wall lining in them too thin they just cut straight through in between the thread was running on 32kpa which is what off road pressure recommendation I think for 40psi tyre pressure. I had on a pair of thongs and the little stones cut through them quite easily too I was surprised. But to get therm fixed I was even surprised on the wait of every one else getting punctures fix but he said it is quite common in the area.

Did you say your off road pressures were 32kpa? This doesn't sound quite right jonathon.

Yeah, we saw others who were stuck in towns waiting for tyres - there was a group of motorbikes waiting at
Wiluna to go up the Canning. Their support vehicles had destroyed a few Coopers on the way up the Gunbarrel. Those guys were itching to get away - I think they had seen all the sights of
Wiluna :-)))
