Members have been asking about the Pyrenees weekend in November so here is a link to download the DSE State Forest brochure PDF File I have a low detail map suitable for computers and PDAs of 500kb and a much better detail one too that can be passed on on your arrival. The better detail one is 6mb so is too large to lodge here or on the Yahoo site I was looking at setting up for it.

I know some people are leaving on trips soon and will catch up with us there so if you email me on mvpartners at bigpond dot com I can send you more information and maybe even the map.

The tour leaders will be having another recce again soon with all the beauty of those tracks.

We wish to make sure that the tracks will be enjoyed by all the family members and with a spread of wineries around, it is anticipated that you will of course keep within Victorian driving limits for beverages. You are the designated driver....

Thanks John for the PDF file. The map printed quite well but will email you for the other information. We will make our way across country from Avoca to the campsite so co-ordinates would be great. Glenpatrick is only showing up as a picnic area on the map.

All the house stuff is going into storage and we are free loading at the outlaws for a month so I'll still be in cockroach land till the middle of Jan ha ha

It won't be a bad move if I get the job in Bundaberg. Although my liver and kidneys may think otherwise :))

Hopefully if he's smart enough to get around the alarm the shotgun on the trip wire should fix him LOL

You do have a hungry dog don't you :))

Hey guys, be sure to let me know when you are going up for the next recce. It has been a while since I was last up there so a refresher would be beneficial before I start leading people. I am unavailable on 20th/21st Oct as I am on call but should be available any other weekend...except this coming one :-)

BTW, I just bought a great paper map from Melbourne Map Centre of the area. It is a Vicmaps map for the Avoca region. Not available on this site from what I could see, but can be purchased online from the shop.

G'day John, Currently in esperence as rain and wind has washed us out of Cape Legrande. Looking forward to the get together. Will be home at the end of the week unfortunately. First time I've been on here forages so caching up on a bit of gossip. All going well and the bus is going great. Make sure those tour leaders are behaving themselves too. Catch up soon

G'day Mr and Mrs Lexic, Hope the trip has been good. Was talking to your BIL the other day but he hadn't heard anything of you. Fancy you talking about forages, thought you left that to the farmers. No gossip about here.

The leaders will be doing a trip just to show they can read maps before the end of October. Hopefully by then they be able to learn about engaging front hubs and four wheel drive too.

We have a local member too to help co-ordinate with community issues.
