I maybe be laughing now, but I wasnt last night when it happened.
Might as well make a joke out of it before I blow a fuse again.

Cheers

Understand how you'd be pi$$ed off but blowing up does no one any good, least of all you. Unfortunately there's no real answer to vandalism, it happens in the "best" of neighbourhoods.

Hairy

Maybe it's the time to make the decision to move on. Have a latte and think about it.

A lot of people don't understand the problem.

Regards

Kim

Gday Kim,
Yeh, your right!
We are going over West for 6weeks at Christmas......to find a nice spot and probably move.
Scrubby town is starting to get more and more like a remote community! Not real good bring up kids with all the violence.
Pretty bad when your 8 year old sone gets told to get inside, stay away from the windows, and he says why?...are going to get your gun out?
Cheers

Hairy, there's nothing aboriginal about it. The person(s) who did this, be they black, white, pink or green, are vandals. Criminals, who deserve the full retributrion of the law, unfortunately that's probably just a dream.
I find it disgusting in any community.

Footloose

I don't think you understand. There's a hell of a difference between passing through a town, compared to living there.

East coast crap does'nt apply in the north or west. Some of you feel good fella's need an injection of reality!

If I was in Hairy's position, I'd be looking after the safety of my kids too.

Regards

Kim

Kim, exactly what are you suggesting here ? That we all take up arms and rid ourselves of those who turn many parts of some Austalian towns into no go zones ?
To suggest that Alice is different in that respect, appears to me to be problematical.
The difference is in the fact that Alice is the town, rather than a particular suburb elsewhere.
As for suggesting that my post was "feel good", you're wrong.
I know what it is to have to worry over the security of my family
...without a firearm I might add.
I stand by my post. Just because the people involved in criminal behaviour happen to be aboriginal, doesn't make it exclusively an aboriginal thing.

Having said that, I wouldn't live there, just as I wouldn't live in a place not far from me where rape, murder and mayhem are all in a nights work for the local fuzz.
A friend is moving out of Alice because of these problems. I sure hope he isn't going to Ceduna, Kalgoorlie, Perth, western Sydney, or Surfers etc etc etc.

Just the one mate.
Its gangs of kids(12-20 year olds), they cause trouble out on the road and wait for someone to come out. When you step out they pick a fight, if you take a step towards them they throw a rock and run like a dog with its tail between its legs, then usually come back with a bigger mob. They decided against it last night....damn lucky for them!

Cheers

Hi Hairy,
You may live in the street behind me ! Hell of a ruckuss over the last weekend. Car windscreens broken and other damage. Dumped the contents of our bin on the road in another incident last week.
