I've got my fridge hooked up to an AGM battery with aligator clips. Will there be any problem connecting my CTEK charger to the battery with aligator clips concurrently?

G'day Garbage,
From what i have been told you can do exactly that, i have also been informed that you can connect your c-tek charger directly to your batts in the car while you camp with a 240v supply available.

Just curious did you buy your new toys at a recent show and is your fridge a evakool.

Regards

I bought mine at the Penrith show near Sydney. I ended up getting a Bushman fridge mainly because of the very low current draw and the fewer plasticy bits compared to the Waeco.

Wish I had my act together in time for the show. I wasn't shopping for a CTEK charger until it was too late. Could have got the 15amp for only $35 more than I spent on the 7amp. Ah well!

You can get an excellent 12 amp (or 12,000 milliamp) Three Stage charger for $99.

It has 6 LEds showing charging progress.

It's unlikely you will need the other modes of a CTEK.

I think he already has it in hand. I don't think I would trust something as cheap as as a $99 charger on my battery, K-Mart have sililar priced units and looking at these - no way. It's something well engineered like C-teck for me every time.

I have just bought the third one from Jaycar and they are well built and well designed.

I agree the KMart ones are crap.
